Zoom player has an option in its menu's to disable screen saver during fullscreen / zoom. If i set zoom player to automatically close when video is finished the computer goes to sleep normally, and ive had this issue on several computers over the years on 2000 / xp / vista and win 7. This prevents the screen saver from running and the computer from going into sleep mode.

I was just thinking that maybe the screen that Zoom shows at the end of a movie - if it isn't set to auto-rewind - may be enough to kick things out of gear a bit.

The other thing you may be able to try - regardless of what Windows version you run - is to change the Advanced Options->Playback->On Playlist Complete option to Auto-Rewind (if it isn't already set to that), and then see if the problem still occurs. Close Task Scheduler and then see if the problem persists. As far as I am aware, the Windows screensaver running will not prevent a PC from switching into sleep mode, so I don't think an option for Zoom to disable the (Windows?) screensaver while playing would help (I've never seen the Windows screensaver activate while playing with Zoom though, and mine is set to trigger after 15 minutes - so I think Windows is actually smart enough to realise that the PC isn't inactive while Zoom is playing).
